Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/ABA Therapist Afternoon Availability – Rockville MD

$250 Sign on Bonus for Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)!

Essential Functions:

  • Collect and record data on client behaviors during therapy sessions to monitor the progress of a treatment plan.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency in treatment approach
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans that address communication, behavior needs, daily living skills, executive functioning skills, and social skills.

Schedule and Location:

Must have availability from 4-8PM on weekdays to be in Rockville MD; schedule assigned based on client need – sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (in the child’s home, community, and/or school).

Compensation:

  • Starting at $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications
  • Quarterly bonus available based on performance

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred
  • Experience with special education services and/or delivery of ABA therapy is strongly preferred
  • Experience in working with children or adults with autism or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • First Aid/CPR certification is required
  • 1 year experience working with children or adults with autism or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Patience, compassion and the desire to help children and adults with autism achieve their goals
  • Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
  • Must have valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a state and FBI background check, and state child abuse clearance
  • Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used.
  • Must be able to obtain RBT certification within 90 days of employment (we will support you with this!)

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and move for 100% of the day
  • Use of hearing, hands and eyes 100% of the workday
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally during the work day
  • Stamina and ability to work all assigned hours
  • Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position
